Learn How States Win the Liberty Cup

This event will be comprised of 5 total divisions. The points breakdown will be determined by overall finish in bracket play. The state that accumulates the most cumulative points between all 5 age groups will be determined the overall champion of the event and will have their State name placed upon the Cup for that year. The LIberty Cup will remain housed at USSSA’s home Complex – The Space Coast Complex –  from year-to-year.

1st Place – 300 Points

2nd Place – 225 Points

3rd Place – 200 Points

4th Place – 175 Points

5-6th Place – 155 Points

7-8th Place – 130 Points

9-12th Place – 110 Points

13th-16th Place – 70 Points

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to compete in the Liberty Cup?

Nominated players from each state are eligible to be selected to represent their home state on the highest stage. Players must be age eligible for the age group they are to represent for the 2027 playing season.

What is the tournament format?

The format for the Liberty Cup will be 4 pool play games into a single elimination bracket. All games both pool and bracket will be 90 minute time limits.

How many games is each team guaranteed?

Each team is guaranteed 5 games

What will each player receive for participating?

Each player will receive 2 custom state jerseys, a custom medal and tumbler. Marucci will also be providing each athlete a bat bag, batting gloves and lizard skins

Do players have to be from the same State?

Yes, all players MUST be from the state where they live. A Nebraska team must have ALL Nebraska kids.

Will teams have time to practice at the facility before games begin?

Yes, all teams will get the opportunity to practice at the Space Coast Complex on Friday afternoon/evening
